Check that VISA statement! Here is a copy of a letter I'm going to mail today. First I called Prometric (800 479 6215). They passed me on to ARE Operations (800 896 2272). There is some confusion as to some charges.
I was charged twice on Dec. 17, 2007 for $324.36US (i.e., 2 x $162.18) but did not do any exams that would represent these charges. I may have registered for 2 graphics exams on this day, but then I understand that I would be charged when I take the exam in March and April, not in December.
Moreover, even if they were graphics exams, I understand that they should be $153 rather than $162.18.
Please clarify these charges.

i had the exact same thing happen. i was charged for signing up for an exam rather than when i actually took it. i called them when i saw it on my visa statement, and they said this to me: sometimes we charge you when you take it, and sometimes we charge you when you sign up for it. there is no rhyme or reason (i'm paraphrasing it). regardless, it's annoying...it felt like they charged me exactly when the canadian dollar went down. j/k.
